TPA is the main source of thermal load during high power UV harmonic generation
- yet the cross sections data are very limited
- also limited are the thermal conductivity data
- Guideline for crystal quality --- should consider TPA
Ongoing work
- Laser interferogram for accurate measuring of thermal profile and absorption.
- 3-D computer modeling for small beam or focused Gaussian beam.
